I have submitted some articles to Helium, but soon realized it is not for me. Some people I know do really well there. I don't put much faith in the rating system there either. You can rate without even reading the posts and you are encouraged to ...

Hello Marvin,

Thanks for the message.

I have been a hypnotherapist here in the UK for just over 30 years. I became interested in Zen around 1979 when I was introduced to zazen. I have a small knowledge of reiki and it seem quite similar to what we used to do in ki-aikido, a martial art I practised for a few years.

If someone received a minor injury during aikido, we used to "inject" ki (chi) into this area and the results were quite remarkable. The idea of energy is very strong in Ki-aikido (as opposed to just Aikido) and the first half of any session on the mat was dedicated to developing more ki. I once met a Japanese master who's ki was so powerful, that he could push somebody to the mat without touching them. I didn't believe it until he did it to me!

Zazen, which is the basis of Zen practice is also about ki and many Zen masters have very strong ki. I describe the method on my webpage here ayrehypnotherapy.com/breathing

Regards,
Derek

Marvin,

Thank you for your comment. We do seem to have similar backgrounds. And yes, I do know what a Reiki Master is. I've studied a bit of Reiki myself, but never finished the series.

Charlotte is also a friend, and I'm quiet proud of the photos I've done of her.

Writers all need a way to easily keep track of research, working notes or simply story ideas. I collected information using handwritten notebooks and as well as a disorganized collection notes on scraps of paper. I was often frustrated when I lost some important bit of information in the middle of a project.

I'd developed some bad habits over the years and gotten kind of sloppy . There is nothing worse than searching of an obscure quote on an old post-it no… Continue
